The Plaza - another Square.
|
|
The new British Library is an impressive place. It has as its forecourt a plaza,
presided over by the statue of Isaac Newton. Viewed through my camera lens
it has a new and surreal look and seems in complete contrast to those of
older and greener London Squares.

Its distinctive architectural symmetry and correctness appear in keeping with
Newtonian mathematical concepts. In some ways I like the uncluttered ordered image of
space and symmetry, a reminder that peace is not only linked to the spiritual or natural
elements, but is also gained through knowledge.
