The Street in October. I suppose we had warning of their impending arrival. Then one morning there they were with their signs, barriers, heavy machinery and all cars parked in the road magically disappeared and found alternative places. Click on the picture to see a larger image. No one welcomed the event it was a time to be endured. Roads reach a stage when major maintenance is necessary regardless of the consequent inconvenience it causes. I was fascinated by some of the huge road construction machines, shredding up the tarmac and blowing it out like hedge clippings into huge tipper trucks. link to More of the Street. Home
